Pure Presentation on AW14 trends

JUST when you are looking forward to the  NEW Spring and Summer season …guess what –  I am now buying for Autumn/Winter 2014.

Great time today on stage with Donna Woodford discussing Independent store gossip and my style picks at PURE London for the AW14 season …

Here are some images of Donna and I during our presentation.

Earlier today I watched Lorna Hall from WGSN discuss her forecasts for AW14 which are naturally more directional than the more wearable collections we stock for you at OKeefe.  Here are some of her tips….which I will take as inspiration for my selections.

A key trend is  masculine soft tailoring .   Tonal tinted shades of grey and black ..introducing mixed textures.  A Move on for skinny jeans is to add knee patches, varied textures or just a panel of contrasting fabric…termed leg block jeans.  Skinny boyfriend jeans are shrunken(turned up) and worn with flat brogues or loafers.

Loose fitting outerwear with dropped shoulders…perfect with your skinnies…to balance the outfit.  Fur and Faux fur, leather and faux leather jackets and coats are  still very strong .

Knitwear is oversize and crew necks are back.  Exposed zips continue to feature but have moved about ..these are now on hems and cuffs across dresses and on the front.

Florals are very much Winter florals …checks and plaids are the way to go.

Finishes are soft, tactile, cosy to soften hard lines …brushed textures and teddy fleece feature strongly.
